Happy Monday, guys. Hope the weekend was a good one and your team came out on top (or at least made it interesting).
Let’s get into it.

📕 DAD WISDOM
Hard is the Baseline
One of the coolest parts of this community is hearing from dads at every stage. New dads, seasoned dads, guys in the thick of it, guys with older kids.
We were talking with Austin-based musician, Tony Kamel, recently and he dropped a line that stuck with me:
“Everything is hard, so hard becomes the baseline. Once you accept that, it’s weirdly easier.”
And honestly… yeah.
Newborns? Hard. Toddlers? Hard in a different way. Older kids? Hard, just in ways you didn’t see coming.
The shift is when you stop expecting it to get easy. When you wake up already knowing today might be tough, you don’t spiral when it is.
You don’t take every rough moment as a failure. You don’t beat yourself up as much. You just show up and handle what’s in front of you.
Fatherhood doesn’t magically smooth out. You just get better at carrying it.

RAD DAD
Cooper Mitchell (Garage Gym Reviews)
If you’ve ever priced out a squat rack or gone down a YouTube rabbit hole researching home gyms, you’ve probably crossed paths with Cooper Mitchell.
Coop is the founder of Garage Gym Reviews, a trusted voice in the home fitness world. He’s also a dad of six, with kids ranging from eight years old down to twins who just turned one.
The hardest part of fatherhood for him is navigating it alongside all the other responsibilities he carries. The most rewarding part happens at the end of the day, sitting in bed with his wife and replaying stories about the kids so they don’t get lost to time.
His advice is simple and heavy at the same time: be the person you want your children to grow into.
His non-negotiable? Smile. Exude joy. Be the blessing man.
Follow him at @homegymcoop & read our interview with him here.

DAD GEAR
“No, it’s a cardigan…”
You don’t need a closet full of clothes as you get older. You need a few great ones.
The Taylor Stitch Crawford Cardigan is that piece. Cozy enough for a cold morning, sharp enough to leave the house in. Vintage vibes, solid build, zero effort. Over 375 Five-Star Reviews.
And yes — “No, it’s a cardigan… but thanks for noticing.”

DAD BOD
New Food Guidelines

The new food guidelines aren’t complicated. They’re just… specific now.
Aim for 20–30g of protein per meal (eggs, meat, Greek yogurt).
Fill half your plate with fiber (veggies, beans, fruit).
Keep ultra-processed foods as occasional, not daily.
And yes, liquid calories still count, even if they’re organic.
No cutting carbs. No tracking apps. Just eat like someone who wants energy, decent labs, and a waistline that doesn’t creep every birthday.
Boring? Maybe. Effective? Extremely.

COMMUNITY
A Dad Turned His El Camino Into a Coffee Shop: We dropped our first in-house film and shared his story. Been really cool seeing the love it’s gotten all weekend. If you haven’t watched yet, check it out here.
Dad Day Run Club: If you’re on Strava, come log some miles with us. We’re closing in on 700 dads. This week’s Runner of the Week is Steven Huffine (78.1 miles 👀). He’s getting a fresh Dad Day Run Club hat. Steven, reply with your address, and we’ll get it out. You can also snag one here.
