Happy Monday, fellas.
Hope the weekend was solid. Fun watching the Masters. Really thought Scottie was gonna mount the comeback. Anywho, let’s get into it.
And if you’re new here, welcome aboard. Glad you found us.

📕 DAD WISDOM
Having a Kid…
A teacher named Elizabeth Stone once described having a kid like this:
"It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body."
That’s it. That’s the whole thing. You don’t protect your kid from everything. You can’t.
You just walk around with this exposed, beating thing, and somehow that makes you sharper, more alive, more present than you’ve ever been.
That’s not a burden. That’s the point.

RAD DAD
David Rabe
There’s a different kind of work that comes with being a dad. Not the diapers. Not the schedule. The internal work.
David Rabe is building Kairos and Bend Sauce, raising two boys, and trying to break patterns that don’t deserve to be passed down.
For him, fatherhood has been about taking a hard look in the mirror. Choosing patience over reaction. Grace over frustration. Intention over autopilot.
One piece of advice stuck with him early on. When everything felt overwhelming, a friend told him: focus on loving them. The rest will figure itself out.
So that’s what he does. Early mornings. Work. Then full attention at home. Weekends locked in for family. Adventures that turn into core memories.
His system is simple. Prioritize what matters. Cut what doesn’t. Show up fully. Because the real job isn’t raising kids.
It’s becoming the man they’re watching.

DAD GEAR
Lucky Toothpicks
There’s just something about a toothpick. Not loud. Not flashy. Just quiet confidence sitting in the corner of your mouth like you’ve handled worse days than this. Plus, these are as original as they come.

DAD BOD
Takes Less Time Than You Think

After 35, your body starts quietly stealing muscle, and it doesn’t give it back. We’re talking 3–5% per decade… which explains why everything suddenly feels heavier.
Less muscle = slower metabolism, more fat, lower energy. It’s not “getting older.” It’s losing strength.
Here’s the upside: you only need about an hour a week to fight it. Two 30-minute lifts. Squats, presses, rows. Done.
Go heavy. Stay consistent. That’s the difference between feeling old… and staying dangerous.
