What’s going on down there?

Plus - why you need to know this time

Hump Day! Shoutout to our Charleston Run Club crew. Had over 9 guys show up yesterday. Let’s keep it rollin.’

Deep in the Trenches

Some days you feel like you're dialed in—present, patient, and maybe even ahead on the week. Other days… you're fried before breakfast and questioning everything by dinner.

Here’s the truth: exhaustion doesn’t mean failure. It means you're deep in the trenches. You're juggling work, parenting, relationships, and the constant loop of being needed. That weight? It’s real. But it also means you're showing up.

You might not feel like you're measuring up, but your kids aren’t keeping score the way you are. They’re not clocking the missed bedtime story or the reheated mac and cheese. They’re soaking up your presence. Your consistency. Your love—even when it looks a little tired around the eyes.

You don’t have to be Superdad. You just have to be there. Especially on the days when it’s hard.

That’s when it counts most. And you’re doing better than you think.

RAD DAD

Brian Grossman

You could say brewing runs in Brian Grossman’s blood. Raised in the malt-scented halls of Sierra Nevada Brewing, Brian grew up watching his dad, Ken, build one of the most respected beer brands in the country. Now, he's carrying the torch—and the hops—into a new era.

As the man behind Sierra Nevada’s East Coast operations in Asheville, NC, Brian’s not just brewing legendary IPAs—he’s raising the next generation of adventurers. Dad to two kids, Jaxon and Julia, Brian balances spreadsheets and fermentation tanks with fishing poles, climbing ropes, and family hikes in the Smokies. His weekends look like gear-packed SUVs, muddy boots, and campfire dinners—with a cold Pale Ale in hand once the kids crash.

In interviews, Brian’s talked about the grind of running a family business and the even bigger job of raising a family. His approach? Same as brewing: start with great ingredients, stay patient, and let the process shape the result.

Fatherhood, much like craft beer, is about consistency, care, and knowing when to let things unfold.

DAD TOYS

The Most Important Real Estate You Own? Your Balls.

These days, it feels like there are chemicals in everything. It can get overwhelming. But this one? It’s pretty dang important.

Your underwear sits on some of the most important real estate you’ve got. And most big-name brands are laced with garbage—BPA, phthalates, and testosterone-wrecking toxins that don’t belong anywhere near your boys.

NADS Underwear is flipping the script with 100% organic cotton, no junk, and all-day comfort. Breathable. Soft. Safe. Made for dads who actually give a damn about what’s going on down there.

I’ve swapped out my whole underwear drawer since learning about NADS. Ditch the toxins. Upgrade the drawers.

Know Your Mile Time. Even If You’re Not a Runner.

run away GIF

You don’t need a fitness tracker, blood panel, or $300 VO2 max test. You need a stopwatch, four laps, and the guts to see where you’re really at.

Performance coach Steve Magness says the mile is the simplest proxy for long-term health. The faster you run it, the longer you’re likely to live. Doesn’t mean you have to sprint it or impress anyone. Just know your number—and use it as a quarterly gut check.

🏃‍♂️ Walk it. Run it. Crawl it if you need to.
📱 Write down your time.
📈 Improve it over time.

You vs. you. That’s the game.
