Well, it’s officially summer and we’re here for it. NBA Finals Game 7 on Sunday should be a fun one.
Have an awesome one. See ya Monday.
PS: If you’re new here, we mix it up on Fridays with a quick recap from the week and a few extra gems to head into the weekend right.
“A dad’s job isn’t to have all the answers — it’s to be there while your kid figures them out.”

FROM THE TRENCHES
This one’s for the dads deep in the newborn fog.
A message popped up in the Slack this week that hit home:
One dad’s doing the every-couple-hours night feeds, wants to help, but is struggling to stay patient. The sleep deprivation is real, and the mental toll of being back in the newborn phase is no joke.
Here’s how some other dads manage:
“It’s okay to be grumpy. You didn’t get enough sleep—give yourself grace. That alone can take the edge off.”
“Take shifts with your partner. Today is their day, tomorrow is yours. Prepare for both types of days.”
“I reframed it like training for a race. It’s hard, but you will come out stronger on the other side.”
“I’d take the baby out early and give my partner a few hours of baby-free rest. It meant a lot—and reminded us that we’re a team.”
No perfect solution here. But being present, honest, and offering your best, even if it’s a tired version of it goes a long way.

GARAGE
Send us what you’re working on

Chris from our Slack group casually restoring a car! Excited to see the finished project.
Working on something? Reply to this email and send it our way. House Projects, Green Grass, Businesses, Whatever. Would love to feature it. Otherwise, you’ll be looking at my unfinished projects.

WEEKEND BURNER
Grab a deck of cards and deal yourself a workout.
Here’s how it breaks down:
♠️ = Pushups
♥️ = Air Squats
♣️ = Sit-ups
♦️ = Mountain Climbers (each leg = 1 rep)
Whatever number you draw = your reps.
Draw a 7 of hearts? That’s 7 squats.
Face cards: 10 reps.
Ace? 15 reps.
Joker? 10 burpees because pain builds character.
Flip 20 cards or go full beast mode and tackle the whole deck. You versus 52.

NEW DROP
Our navy DAD hat got some killer reviews, and we seriously appreciate everyone who grabbed one.
Now we’re dropping a new one: same clean look, just in camo. Still just DAD.
Everything we do - this newsletter, the Slack group, the community is free. But if you want to support what we’re building (and look damn good doing it), the hat helps us keep it going. Order today, and I will personally ship it out.

dad shower thoughts: I used to care what my car looked like. Now I just hope it’s not sticky.
