PLUS - need some new shorts?

Happy Friday — Don’t miss a new feature we’re pumped to drop today (we teased it last week).
The Slack group’s been full of real talk lately—everything from morning routines to fatherhood challenges and what it really looks like to show up when things get hard.
Have a great weekend 👊
“The older I get, the smarter my father seems to get.”

FROM THE TRENCHES
One of the most real convos in the Dad Day Slack this week was around how to support your wife through postpartum depression.
Some really thoughtful conversation—from dads who had been there, felt helpless, and figured things out one step at a time.
Some of the best advice shared:
Step out of the moment—take over the task and give her a break
Don’t take the hard days personally (even when it’s tough not to)
Listen, don’t try to fix
Remember: it’s temporary, and it’s not about you
Just being there—calm, present, steady—goes a long way
This is what the Dad Day community is for. If you're in it right now, you're not alone.

GARAGE
Send us what you’re working on

Nick M. from Pittsburgh is in the middle of a garage gym transformation. Excited to feature the finished product, Nick!
Working on something? Reply to this email and send it our way. House Projects, Green Grass, Businesses, Whatever. Would love to feature it. Otherwise, you’ll be looking at my unfinished projects.

WEEKEND BURNER
Grab a pair of dumbbells and get after it.
5 rounds for time:
20 walking lunges (10 each leg, holding dumbbells)
10 dumbbell push press
10 dumbbell front squats
10 bent-over rows
30-second plank hold
Rest 1 minute between rounds. Keep the form clean. Legs burning = mission accomplished.

Last year I paid for an Inside Tracker blood panel…and had no idea what I was looking at. My PCP (love her, but yeah) wasn’t much help either.
Fast forward to last week—I connected with Tyler Nicholson (he signed up for Dad Day a while back). Total pro. He left healthcare consulting in 2011, opened his own gym, and has spent the last decade helping people get out of pain, boost energy, and make sense of their bodies.
He walked me through my blood panel for nearly an hour—and for the first time, it actually clicked.
Lightbulb moment: more dads should hear this.
So we’re kicking off something new: Dad Lab—live virtual sessions with experts built to help us level up in real, practical ways.
