Hope the week was a good one. Have fun out there this weekend. We’ll see ya Monday.
If you’re new here, we mix it up on Fridays with a quick recap from the week and a few extra gems to head into the weekend right.

THE DIGEST
Wisdom of the Week: It's really easy with kids to say we'll do that later. And sometimes that's completely reasonable. But sometimes you just gotta do the thing. The kids aren't going to be this age again, and there's always going to be a reason to push something to later.

DAD DAY COMMUNITY:
COME HANG IN SLACK. Whether you’re brand new here or have been around for a minute, we’ve got a free Slack group with a bunch of dads talking life, work, gear, fitness, kids and whatever else comes up. Community-led, completely free, always will be. It’s been really cool watching it grow over the last year. Join here.
COME HANG IN REAL LIFE: The digital stuff is great, but nothing beats actually shaking a hand. We still have a few spots left for Built for More in Austin, and we’ll be talking about it plenty over the next few weeks. If a couple days with a good group of dads sounds like something you could use, check it out. Hype video, reviews from the last one and all the details here.

IN THE TRENCHES
This might be our most filled-out poll yet.
We asked: On a typical week, how many nights are you having a drink?
Almost 1k of you weighed in, and 1–2 nights a week took the top spot, with 0 nights right behind it. Plenty of dads landed in the 3–4 night range too, and a smaller crew said 5+.
The comments were all over the place.
Some guys barely drink unless there’s a birthday or dinner out. Some like a couple beers after the kids go down. Some are wine-with-dinner households. Others have swapped in NA beers or stopped drinking altogether.
One dad described his schedule as:
“Either on Taco Tuesday or Friday night.”
Another was a little more direct:
“Non-alcoholic beer for dinner, whiskey for dessert.”
There were also plenty of guys who basically said it depends on the week. Work schedules, social stuff, kids, vacations, football season. Life happens. Cheers!

ONE LAST THING

🍻 Weekend Assignment: Ask someone older than you for a recommendation. A book. A restaurant. A place to visit. A piece of advice. Whatever.
🧠 Worth Knowing: The little plastic or metal cage around a champagne cork is called a muselet. It takes exactly six half-turns to loosen one.

dad shower thoughts: Getting older is slowly understanding why your dad cared so much about the edges of the lawn.
