Happy Saint Patrick’s Day.
Hope you had a great weekend. Appreciate all the positive responses from Friday’s poll. Keep an eye out for more details on the ‘Built for More’ community.
Now, let's get into it.

📕 DAD WISDOM
Proud of ya kid…
There's a trend in parenting blogs these days - warning against telling your kids you're proud of them. Hey - to each their own.
The reality is simpler than the overthinking. Kids need to hear they're valued - not just for what they achieve, but for who they are and how they approach life. The words "I'm proud of you" aren't just about validation; they're about belonging. About knowing you're seen.
Should we praise effort over outcome? Absolutely. Should we focus on character over achievements? Without question. But should we worry that telling our kids we're proud will somehow damage them? Not a chance.
The words matter. Say them. Often. For the big wins and the small moments of courage. For the times they try and fail. For the kindness you catch when they think no one's watching.
Some things don't need to be complicated. This is one of them.

RAD DAD
Kirk Herbstreit
Before millions knew him as the face of College GameDay, Kirk Herbstreit was just a quarterback's son with big shoes to fill. Now he's raising four boys of his own.
What makes Herbstreit's fatherhood journey unique is how openly he's addressed the complexities of father-son relationships. In his memoir "Out of the Pocket," he reveals the challenging dynamic with his own father, Jim Herbstreit - a former Ohio State captain who struggled with depression and communication.
"I remember thinking, 'I just want a normal relationship with my dad,'" Herbstreit has shared. That experience reshaped how he approaches fatherhood - prioritizing presence and connection with his sons despite a travel schedule that would break most people.
While broadcasting national championships, Herbstreit was also coaching his sons' youth football teams. Between GameDay appearances, he was driving carpool. And behind the scenes, he was building the kind of relationship with his sons that he had always wanted with his own father.
All three of his eldest sons followed in his football footsteps - not because of pressure, but because of passion that was nurtured, not forced.

DAD TOYS
Your Next Tool Bag
That jumble of tools in the back of your car isn't cutting it anymore. Carhartt's Legacy Tool Bag is what happens when a company that makes work clothes decides to make something to carry work tools.
With 27 total pockets (17 outside, 10 inside) and a metal frame that keeps its shape even when empty, it's like the bag equivalent of showing up prepared. The 14-inch size hits the sweet spot - small enough to stash in your trunk but big enough to hold that random power tool you need for the weekend project.

DAD BOD
Medicine Ball Slams
48-year-old David Beckham is still getting after it - crushing medicine ball slams in a weighted vest. The former footballer recently dropped a TikTok of his workout.
The move he's hammering? Medicine ball slams - one of the most efficient ways to build explosive power and core strength in minimal time. It's a full-body crusher that gets your heart rate up while targeting those abs that disappeared somewhere between kids two and three.
The weighted vest is mostly for show (and quick transitions between exercises), but the medicine ball workout is legit. Want to try it? Grab a medicine ball, do 10-20 slams every minute on the minute for five minutes at the end of your workout. Just make sure the kids' toys are cleared out first.
