THE DIGEST
Wisdom of the Week: You’re always learning. Always adjusting. Always figuring out the next version of your kid. For the dads with younger ones…enjoy the early stuff. Not in a “time is flying” cliché way. Just in a real way. Because one day they’re all in on you. And then one day they’re… a little less. And that’s part of it too.

IN THE TRENCHES
Topic: How Dads Are Making Coffee
We asked how you’re making your coffee these days.
Hundreds of you weighed in, and a bunch of replies came rolling in. No surprise…drip machine is still king.
A few notes from the field:
Drip wins on convenience. Set it the night before, hit a button, move on. When you’ve got kids, efficiency > everything.
That said…a lot of dads want to be pour-over guys. Aeropress, V60, Chemex. Just not happening as often as it used to.
Espresso and Nespresso are in the mix for weekday speed. A little more fun than drip, still gets the job done.
French press crew is out there treating it like a ritual. Early mornings, quiet house, slow start.
Cold brew is having a moment too. Especially as the weather warms up.
And then there’s the real spectrum…From roasting your own beans to Keurig at home and drip at work… to “I’ll take it however I can get it.”
A few dads have even bailed on coffee altogether. Tea guys in the chat.
Different setups. Same mission. Get caffeine in. Keep it moving.

🧠 Worth Knowing
A Harvard study found that kids who have regular one-on-one time with a parent show higher confidence and better emotional regulation. Doesn’t need to be big. Just consistent.
👊 Try This
Take one kid out solo this weekend. Coffee run, hardware store, quick errand. Just you and them. It hits different when they get you to themselves.
