Started watching The Lowdown on Hulu. Ethan Hawke plays an idealistic journalist who’s constantly chasing the truth. He’s a legit savage, but has a good heart.
At one point, a friend says something to him about his daughter:
“She’s the best part of you.”
We spend a lot of our adult lives building things we can point to - whatever we’ve decided success is supposed to look like.
Then you become a dad and there’s this person walking around who might end up being the thing you’re proudest of.
Not because you get to take credit for who they become. Far from it. You just get a few years to help them along.

Cold and flu season is coming in hot, which means it might be time to start burping the house. Basically, open a few windows and doors for a bit and let the stale indoor air swap out for fresh air. CDC guidance notes that bringing in outdoor air can help dilute airborne respiratory particles indoors.
A few easy ways to do it:
Crack windows on opposite sides of the house for cross-flow
Run the kitchen or bathroom exhaust fans
Use a window fan blowing out to help pull fresh air in elsewhere
If everyone’s sick, keep the air moving and run a HEPA purifier if you’ve got one
Even 10 minutes can help freshen things up and keep the house from feeling sealed shut all day.
