Hey gents. Happy Monday. Hope the weekend was solid.
ICYMI: Marathon record shattered over the weekend. Sabastian Sawe from Kenya finished the London Marathon under 2 hours (1:59). That’s a 4:33 min/mile pace. Insane!
Big week on our end: we’re hosting our first multi-day experience down in Charleston. A few spots still open if you’re due for a reset…come join us.
Alright, let’s get into it.
And if you’re new here, welcome aboard. Glad you found us.

📕 DAD WISDOM
What Game Are You Playing?
Saw a Tim Ferriss tweet the other day.
It was something along the lines of: the real challenge isn’t figuring out how to play the game…it’s figuring out what game you’re actually playing.
Feels especially true as a dad because it’s really easy to default to the wrong game.
Chasing work wins. Stressing about money. Trying to stay on top of everything. Competing with robots. Etc.
Meanwhile, there’s a completely different game happening at home.
Showing up. Being present. Handling the small moments well. Building trust over time. You can be crushing one game and falling behind in another without even realizing it.
So ya, what game are you playing today?

RAD DAD
Teddy Roosevelt
Mixing it up a bit today. We love our Q&As, but some dads from history lived absolute movies…and there’s a lot to pull from. Figured we’d start telling a few of those stories.
We all know the name Teddy Roosevelt. What we don’t talk about is how wild his life actually was.
Teddy was a sickly kid. Asthma. Weak lungs. His dad basically told him to toughen up, so he did. Lifting, boxing, building himself into an absolute unit.
Fast forward. He’s married with a young daughter…then his wife and mom die on the same day. Completely wrecked him. And on Valentine’s Day to boot.
So he disappears out West. Becomes a cowboy. Hunts bison. Runs a ranch. Full reset.
Eventually comes back to New York. Gets back into politics. Remarries. Has five more kids. Becomes Governor. Then President.
Somewhere in there, he gets shot in the chest during a speech. Doesn’t leave. Finishes the speech first. Then heads to the hospital.
But the best part is how he was as a dad.
Six kids. Absolute chaos. Ponies in elevators. Snakes in desks. One kid used a Secret Service agent as a sled. Another launching water balloons at guards.
And he was all in on it. Hiking, boxing, exploring with them. Letting the house be loud. Treated fatherhood like an adventure, not a side quest.
Also wrote 30+ books. Because why not.
What Teddy can teach us: Life’s gonna hit. Hard. Stay in it anyway. And don’t miss the chaos at home while you’re building everything else.

DAD GEAR
Vinyl Record Player
Vinyl never really left…it just waited for you to grow into it. There’s something refreshingly analog about dropping a needle and committing to an album, no notifications, no skipping, no “what should I play next?” spiral.
This thing ^ has been getting some serious use in our office.

DAD BOD
What Is Psyllium Husk?

You may have seen psyllium husk making the rounds lately.
Here’s our breakdown…
It’s a natural fiber from the Plantago ovata plant that turns into a gel when mixed with water. That gel slows digestion, helps you feel full, and keeps things moving in the bathroom (in both directions).
It’s the key ingredient in Metamucil, but the real story is bigger: studies show it can help lower bad cholesterol and support heart health over time.
Why the hype? It’s cheap, widely researched, and actually works. No biohacking gimmicks required.
Just one rule: drink plenty of water with it, or it’ll hit like cement.
