Happy Friday guys. Have fun out there this weekend. We’ll see ya Monday.

PS: If you’re new here, we mix it up on Fridays with a quick recap from the week and a few extra gems to head into the weekend right.

THE DIGEST

  • Wisdom of the Week: It’s easy to replay old decisions. Think about what you should’ve done differently. Wonder how things might’ve turned out on another path. But all of those roads led here…To your kids. To your family. To this version of life. There’s always another decision in front of you anyway. Not a perfect one. Not a defining one. Just the next one. The next right road.

IN THE TRENCHES

Topic: Go-to outfit

We asked what you’re wearing these days.

No surprise here…hoodie + jeans took the top spot. The unofficial dad uniform.

A few things we noticed:

  • Comfort is king. Gym shorts, tees, athleisure…if it can handle a workout and a grocery run, it’s in rotation.

  • There’s a split life. “Hard pants” for being out in the world, “soft pants” the second you’re home. No one’s arguing that rule.

  • Some of you are holding the line with biz casual. Collars still making appearances…but mostly on your own terms.

  • And then there’s the wild card crew. Cargo shorts, Birks, Carhartt tees. A little chaos, but it works.

COMMUNITY

We kicked off our multi-day experience last night in Charleston. Seeing this thing come to life? Pretty damn cool. Two more days to go. Missed this one? Fall drop is coming.

Also, ICYMI: Join us Thursday (virtually), May 7th at 12pm EST as we’re joined by Brian Genuser.

Brian Genuser has spent 20 years working with brands like Vans, Adidas, and Oakley, helping teams and creatives actually execute at a high level. Not theory. Real reps.

In this session, he’s breaking down how to find your rhythm when things feel chaotic. How to get into flow. How to build momentum without burning out.

Brian will share tactical takeaways for about 20 minutes, then we’ll open it up for Q&A so you can dig into whatever’s top of mind. Sign up here.

GARAGE

ONE LAST THING

🧠 Worth Knowing
Kids are way more likely to listen after they feel heard. Studies show even brief acknowledgment lowers resistance and increases cooperation. Quick pause. Then direction.

👊 Try This
Before correcting or telling them what to do, repeat back what they’re saying. “Got it, you’re upset because…” Takes 5 seconds. Changes the whole tone.
