FROM THE TRENCHES
From man-to-man to zone coverage: One dad in the Dad Day Slack asked what it’s really like going from 2 to 3 kids.
Here’s what the crew had to say:
“It’s absolute madness… 2➝3 is a whole different kind of jump. Solo time with the older kids during naps was a lifesaver.”
“You gotta schedule everything now. Gym, dates, trips — nothing just ‘happens’ anymore.”
“We thought we had it handled... then came potty training. Total chaos. But the love? Multiplies.”
Considering going for the hat trick? The general consensus: it’s wild, but worth it. Especially if you’ve got grandparents on speed dial.
If you’re not in Slack yet, we’ve got over 200 dads hanging out. It’s all async: ask a question when you can, get gear recs, swap parenting wins, and share tips on everything from fitness to finances. Jump in whenever. No pressure, just good people. It’s free.

Every dad needs a solid pair of binoculars. Soccer games, camping trips, backyard bird spotting, keeping the kids entertained on a hike - trust us, they’ll get used.
We like Nikon’s ProStaff line. Crystal-clear optics. Built tough. And something you’ll actually pass down instead of toss out.

dad shower thoughts: Kids somehow hear ‘no’ as ‘let me ask again, louder this time.
