Garbage Time
Someone shared a clip of Jerry Seinfeld on The Tonight Show talking about parenting. He wasn’t preaching, just casually dropping some wisdom:
“People talk about quality time. I like to talk about garbage time.”
Bowl of cereal at 11pm. Sitting in traffic. Wandering around Target. Not epic. Not curated. But it counts.
We put a lot of pressure on creating “meaningful” moments with our kids. But the real magic? It’s usually buried in the boring.
So don’t sweat the agenda. Just be around for the garbage. Turns out, it’s the good stuff.

Lately, I’ve been trying to clean up my afternoon routine. Less pantry grazing, more intentional fuel.
