Happy Friday guys. Get outside. Sweat a little. Watch some ball. We’ll see ya on Monday.

PS: If you’re new here, we mix it up on Fridays with a quick recap from the week and a few extra gems to head into the weekend right.

"If you're 37... Instead of regretting that you can't wake up age 18 again, pretend to yourself that you're 90 and you've woken up age 37 again, and that you get to magically, wonderfully have the next 50 years again."

THE DIGEST

  • Wisdom of the Week: Instead of asking your kid how their day was, try asking: “What made you feel proud today?” It’s a small shift. But it changes the whole conversation. You’re not asking for a highlight or a result. You’re asking them to notice something about themselves.

IN THE TRENCHES

Topic: Where dads are working from?

We asked where you’re working from these days.

Hundreds of you chimed in and the office actually took the top spot, with hybrid not far behind and a big chunk still holding it down from home.

A few notes from the field:

  • Office life is still very much alive. One dad shared he’s on a fire department schedule… 48 hours on, 72 off. Not your typical 9 to 5, but it comes with some real time at home.

  • Hybrid setups are everywhere. A lot of guys are splitting the week, often coordinating schedules with their spouse so someone’s always home.

  • Home base has its perks. One dad talked about slowly building out a garage gym and even adding a sauna. Simple routines at night to decompress have become part of the rhythm.

  • “Other” had some range. Stay-at-home dads, retired guys, students, and even one dad working out of a full production truck for live sports.

The common thread was pretty clear… everyone’s just trying to make work fit around family, not the other way around.
